CANADA. Amundsen Gulf. International scientific expedition aboard the Canadian coast guard icebreaker AMUNDSEN. March 2008. The "rosette" is put inside the "moonpool", the boat's central well. The "rosette" is a very sophisticated measuring instrument, which is used to measure water streams, degree of salinity, temperatures, conductivity, PH values, pressure, PAR (photosynthetic valuable radiations), chlorophyle fluorescence...etc. Data acquisition 24 times per second. An instrument built in small quantities in USA, for almost 100 000 euros.
