The budget for the building of the second phase of Israel's "Separation Wall" was passed by the Israeli Knesset in October 2003. When completed, the wall will run for 650 kilometers (almost double the length of the Green Line), confiscating 50% of the West Bank. Thousands of farmers will be separated from their fields and from employment; and thousands will be caught in a no man's land between the wall and the Green Line to the west. Tens of thousands of olive trees have been uprooted and thousands of dunnams of land cut off from their owners.
