Moscow's Bolshoi Ballet pirouetted for the tsars, then leapt for communism.But now bitter rows, bad reviews and shortage of funds have left the company dancing in the dark, requiring an input of $500 million dollars for it not to crumble. Its former Director Yuri GRIGOROVICH was ousted, and in March 1994 Vladimir VASSILIEV was appointed new Artistic Director.
